Simpson Sisters & Nicole Richie Los Cabos Ladies She just turned the big 3-0 this past Wednesday (September 21), and Nicole Richie celebrated the momentous occasion by spending time with her girlfriends in Los Cabos, Mexico over the weekend.
The former "Simple Life" star was joined at her posh South of the Border resort by her "Fashion Star" co-star Jessica Simpson, with Ashlee Simpson and her beau Vincent Piazza also on-hand as the group relaxed around a table while chowing down on a delicious meal. The group sighting comes after Miss Richie spent the previous few days soaking up the sun alongside fellow travel mate Samantha Ronson. Nicole was spotted sporting in a bright blue bikini on Saturday afternoon as she and a swimsuit-clad Miss Ronson romped along the shoreline and cooled off by taking a dip in the ocean.

The “Pieces of Me” songstress was joined by her handsome boyfriend Vincent Piazza, making it their third public appearance in a week. Meanwhile Vincent’s show “Boardwalk Empire” won the Emmy for Best Directing in a TV Drama Series, so director Martin Scorsese was quite pleased.

Held at The Theater at Lincoln Center as part Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, lovely ladies such as Ashlee Simpson and LeAnn Rimes lined the catwalk to take in the designer's new collection. Also on hand for the Herve Leger festivities were "Gossip Girl" actresses Jessica Szohr and Katie Cassidy - both of whom turned up in matching blue frocks.
Of the show - which consisted of mainly metallic looks and knee-high gladiator sandals - Miss Rimes was simply smitten to be on hand, as she tweeted prior to kickoff, "Insane Herve Leger collection I just saw backstage! Getting ready to witness a fabulous show!! Cage boots.. my obsession!"

The sighting comes as it was reported last week that Ms Simpson had one too many and drunk-dialed ex-husband Pete Wentz to tell him that she missed him. Her rep denied the call ever happened, but a source told UsWeekly that Ashlee misses him and said she wanted him back.

Angelina Jolie's Visit to Libya She spends countless hours trying to help those in the most desperate need, and Angelina Jolie was busy paying a visit to Misrata, Libya on Tuesday.
The U.N. Goodwill Ambassador was photographed meeting patients at a local hospital while in the country to help agencies bringing aid to Libyans in Tripoli and Misrata. Of the effort, Jolie told press, “I have come to Libya for a variety of reasons, to see a country in transition at every level and to witness efforts to fully realize the promise of the Arab Spring."
“The country faces a host of challenges, including internally displaced people, refugees, rule of law, security, sanitation, education, health and other humanitarian needs. All of these pieces must be delivered and coordinated properly in an environment of reconciliation and justice,” she added.
The 36-year-old finished by saying, “I will be meeting with officials from all sides but above all, listening to the local people in the street. I am here to express solidarity with them. It is the work of rebuilding and recovery that will determine Libya’s future. (October 11)

According to a report, the “Changeling” chick and the “Curious Case of Benjamin Button” stud dropped a check for $340,000 to the organization to help provide healthcare for homeless children in Somalia. Ms. Jolie, who works as an UN Goodwill Ambassador, told press she’s been forever changed by working with refugees in the area for a decade.
"Most of all I'm so grateful - I don't want to cry - to the refugee families that I have the honor and privilege to spend the last years with. From them I've learned so much. I've learned to be a better person, a better mother. They've inspired me by showing me the unbreakable strength of the human spirit."

Angelina Jolie for UNHCR Ambassador Efforts She's constantly traveling the world in hopes of helping those most in need of assistance, and Angelina Jolie took center stage at a UNHCR ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland on Monday.
The "Salt" actress took to the podium while helping to honor the Yemeni humanitarian aid group Society for Humanitarian Solidarity. Also being toasted herself, the 36-year-old was saluted by her peers for serving ten ambitious years as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
At the function, Miss Jolie told the audience, “I’m so grateful to the many refugee families that I have had the honor and privilege to spend the last years with. From them I’ve learned so much. I’ve learned to become a better person, a better mother. They’ve inspired me by showing me every day the unbreakable strength of the human spirit.” Making sure to use the spotlight to voice the continued need for aid in Somalia, Angelina added, “We must not forget what is happening in this part of the world.
We must not forget how desperate they are when the only alternative is to risk death at sea and put their lives in the hands of ruthless smugglers." (October 3).
